Job Description
You will actively help the projects with their challenges in the field of tribology. You will take lead in expanding ASML's tribology competence as a whole. Main responsibilities • Leading investigations for the project in the field of tribology (testing, calculations, data analysis) • Collaborate with universities/ knowledge institutes and other high-tech companies
Educational Level
Technical University, Master’s or PhD with specialization in tribology. Or background in material, mechanical, physical or chemical engineering, with strong affinity in tribology
Job Mission
ASML is constantly pushing the limits of technology into areas where nobody has gone before. Your mission consists of two aspects: • Active involvement in projects, identifying solutions to huge variety of issues in the field of tribology • Leading and expanding ASML's tribology competency. Early identification of future needs, define and drive the development plan.

Educational Level
Technical University, Master’s or PhD with specialization in tribology. Or background in material, mechanical, physical or chemical engineering, with strong affinity in tribology
Experience
• At least 5 year relevant working experience in the field of tribology • Experience in leading small investigation projects for industry • Preferably also knowledge or working experience in field of: o Surface wear mechanisms o Friction phenomena in mechanical systems o Design of bearings & bolts o Materials and selection, Advanced coatings o Electrostatics o Precision- / nano engineering o Failure modes & analysis
Personal Skills:
Strong analytical ability. Pro-active attitude, strong sense of ownership. Good communication and networking skills. Good knowledge of English.
